New mix from The Eclecticist
We have a new filmcore mix available from The Eclecticist. It's a very cinematic mix designed to help everyone escape from the craziness of life when they need to. It’s a mixture of ambient, downtempo, atmospheric dnb, idm breaks & jungle and is intended for headphone listening. Cut yourself off from the outside world and lose yourself in your imagination. Check out "The Eclecticist - Escaping Reality Vol. 1"here.

After a much longer hiatus than we expected, the new version of the Tectonic Records site is here. We decided in the end not to go too extravagant and keep things simple and clean. Hope you like it.
Lots of changes have been going on. Most of the people we work with are very multi talented, being involved not only in dj'ing and music production, but in art, graphic design, fashion design , film making and more. Therefore we are now pursuing a more mixed media direction and have begun to add some great folks to our roster. The first new additions are Vancouver's redheaded stepchild, the eclectic Socool (aka Emily Sobool), and the multi-talented Ill-esha, who's singing, dj'ing and production skills have her poised on the edge of something great.
There are a lot of interesting new projects on the go that we are quite excited about. The first of these projects is a limited edition 3ftx2ft poster series of art made by some of Vancouver's talented up and coming visual artists. The first release in this series will be out within the next month or so and will feature a piece created by Paul Spears called "From Within". This piece is accompanied by Spears' 80 minute drum n' bass set of the same name, which is available for download now in the music section. Take a look in the gallery for a preview of the poster.
Site Updates:- New mixes by Spears have been added to the music page. Mixes from Socool, Ill-Esha and others will be added soon.
- We have added a gallery to the site which will feature photography, art, and video from the TR crew.
- Bio's for Spears, Socool and Ill-Esha have been added to the crew section. Check 'em out and get to know us.
